Feeding question

My son is 5 weeks, he was eating 4 oz really well. But recently it is a struggle to get him to eat the entire bottle. Sometimes it will take an hour or more! I am still using slow nipples, should I move up to medium? He seems to be hungry and want to eat but will fall asleep 10 minutes into his meal. So frustrating!!

  • To try to keep baby from falling asleep do the following;
    *Uncover (don't want them warm n cozy or else they'll fall asleep)
    *massage the head (caress head from front to back, cheeks from nose to ear)
    *tickle, lightly, their feet (remember no shoes or socks shd b on)
    *stop feeding and hold them up to gentle wake them

    AND if all else fails, let the baby sleep. They need their rest cuz they go through growth spurts. Good luck!
