Maternity swimwear- AKA wtf do i wear in the pool to not look like a sea cow?

Might as well paint spots on me and i'll scream MOO for you

anyways i'm 7 months pregnant and going to stay in a hotel for a couple days next month and HOORAY there's a pool!

I said "hey i'll have to get a swimsuit"
my mom says "just wear a shirt and shorts, we might want to take pictures"

so let's pretend she didn't say that, she's nice just blunt like me.

what can i wear to be comfortable but not showing my flabby flab?

(i'm not THAT bad, 160 lbs and 5'4" and seven months)

  • I got both my suits at Target, but they might have them on clearance now this late in the season. I got a one piece from the Plus size dept. and a tankini one from the maternity area. Both were really cute. Motherhood Maternity has these weird cups sewn into all there's that look weird because you can see them through the suit.

  • i wore shorts and a shirt lol.. but i think its nice when pregnant women wear a bikini. goes to show that u can still look good pregnant. and that u still feel good about urself.. never wore a bikini when i wasnt pregnat so i guess its different coming from me

  • i wore a bikini once to the beach when i was a teenager, people failed to tell me that my top had shifted and both my titties were hanging out.

  • They have some great suits now. I am not pregnant but am larger than I want to be (belly). I have what looks like a tank top (full not tight) and a mini skirt. My other one is a one piece that looks like a dress. I'm very picky how I look when I go out and even more at the pool but I really like these looks. I've seen some really cute ones that have a bra with material flowing down the belly (like an empire waist dress) then you have the bottoms that will go under your belly. I bet you'll look precious no matter what you wear.

  • Aww thanks. I wonder what the return policy on that stuff would be though, there aren't many water opportunities for me here in washington state- i live a mile from the water in almost every direction but its not people friendly water- BRR

  • I'm 6 months and i still wear my bikini only because i'm too cheap to go get a new one... if i feel self consious i'll wear shorts or a shirt over it.. but i figure i look pretty decent so why the hell not right?
