Are there any valid, real, SAH jobs?

I don't mean selling stuff on Etsy or buying a kit online and claiming to make thousands of dollars off of Google every day. I'm talking stuff like office work, medical transcription, and stuff.
I've even seen people facilitate adoptions from home. I would LOVE more info on that.
Does anyone have any experience in any of this? I'd like first-hand stories about how it worked out for you.

  • Do you have a former employer you could work for remotely? If you have a computer with high speed internet & Microsoft Office Pro & have at least intermediate MS Office skills, you should be able to find work as a virtual assistant (VA). For more information, go to www.ivaa.org.
Do you have a skill or experience that you can turn into a home based business? I have a friend who makes children's hair accessories in her basement & sells them to boutiques around the Midwest. My husband runs a handyman business from our home. I work from home with two lines of business; I do freelance bookkeeping & business organization, in addition to coaching.
Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions about resumes, cover letters, job search strategy & interview preparation.

  • Hello,

Search the groups for WAH Jobs. I've seen a lot of good information.

Also ... a WAH Job should NEVER cost you anything to start working.

A home business may have a start up and / or monthly fees but a real WAH Job should NOT!

    Good Luck!!

  • I work from home with a 5 and 2 year old at home with me. I absolutely love being home with them and working at the same time. I work with comp that recently won award from the BBB so it is no scam. I don't have to do parties, no taking of inventory, and this is not MLM. If interested in more info, feel free to visit my website at www.beingunited.com or email me at rebeccabowen@live.com. Hope we can talk soon! Thanks
