Is Obama a Warmonger?

I asked this question on another post, but am curious to debate it in more detail:

Is there blood on Obama's hands like sooo many accused of Bush? Is Obama a Warmonger? He complied to the removal of troops from Iraq set under the Bush administration and he placed MORE troops in Afghanistan. If we are going to be fair and balanced, that makes Obama equally a war monger. Where are all the protests NOW to bring the troops home? Where is the media speaking of dissent being Patriotic?

Come ON! You can't protest against the actions of ONE President while condoning the SAME decisions made by a different President. Which way do you all want it now, in 2009?"

  • Good question. Either Bush was RIGHT to go into Afghanistan, or Obama was WRONG to send in more troops. No matter how you look at it, Obama has no timeline or plan to pull the troops out of Afghanistan. The war will go one for years, at this rate.

It really sucks to be on the receiving end of criticism, huh?! LOL

I recommend going to the library and checking out a Thesaurus in order to expand upon your choice of adjectives! LOL

  • " Obama is just trying to clean up Bush's piles and piles of mistakes. "

Keep saying that to yourself.. as far as im concerned, these "mistakes" started long before Bush. And blaming it solely on Bush just goes to show how educated you really are about the problem we are currently in right now.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — The deadliest three months for American forces in Afghanistan have pushed the U.S. death toll to at least 500, forcing a war long overshadowed by Iraq back into the headlines.

There are about 33,000 U.S. troops in Afghanistan, the highest since the war began, meaning more troops than ever are patrolling this country's mountainous terrain and exposed to ambushes and roadside bombs.

The U.S. military suffered 65 deaths in May, June and July, by far the deadliest three-month period in Afghanistan since the war began in 2001. The previous deadliest three-month period was in the spring of 2005, with 45 U.S. deaths.
