Do you say something to the chef if you don't like the food you've ordered at the restaurant?

  • I dont personally go and talk to the chef no, but I do mention it to the waiter. It cant be just because I dont like it. It has to be either cold, dry, old, or not made correctly. We dont eat out all that much because we dont want the extra expense but if we do, I have no problem telling them that it needs to be redone. Almost 100% of the time, they make it right.

  • I do, but its rare that I have to. my husband thinks one should take the food and eat it or not no matter cost.

  • I don't speak to the chef, but I'll tell the waiter. And it does have to be a pretty egregious error on their part for me to mention it.

  • If it's because I just didn't like it, no. But if it is because it was cold, dry, etc then I tell the server or manager.
