NEW ORLEANS  —  An African-American man from Mississippi admits posing as a white supremacist to send a death threat across state lines by Facebook.

The U.S. Attorney's Office says 20-year-old Dyron L. Hart of Poplarville pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to making a threat in November 2008.

Hart admitted creating a name and using a white supremacists' photo to pose as a white man who planned to kill blacks because Barack Obama had been elected president.

  • He originally was charged with threatening three black students at Nicholls State — where he had attended one semester — but pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count.

He sent the threats from a computer in Poplarville.

The maximum sentence is five years in prison and a $250,000 fine; sentencing is Nov. 18.

  • People have lost their damned minds. I also saw on the news last night the woman that Sheila Jackson Lee ignored while on her very important phone call stated that SJL's comments that they are now "Good friends" and that "Jackson invited her and her family to DC" were untrue. Funny, we can't trust anyone to tell the truth anymore.

  • LOL.. I notice the liberal leaners are all over other questions, but not this one.... Didn't someone ask a question about Alinsky 'style' methods earlier? This would be another fine example of the left trying make others look bad. Glad to see justice prevailed in this case.

  • Hey, did anyone else notice during the press conference. w/ Robert Gibbs where Major Garrett was asking why an individual that had never sent anything to the WH to receive emails would be getting emails from the WH and asking if there was a "List", Gibbs sort of screwed the pooch by saying 'are you asking me if they are on 'the list'?'

Sort of sounds like there is a list and they are denying it.  Like that would be an astounding piece of news.  This administration is a train wreck.
