  • I had medicaid and it didnt cover my son's circumcision. It was $200.

  • It was covered when I had my son in 2007. I expect it is standard for it to be covered or I doubt my insurance company would have sprung for it.

  • I have two boys and their circumcisions were not covered by insurance. They considered to be cosmetic. I would assume it depends on the insurance. Most insurances are not paying for it anymore.

  • It just depends on the insurance company. I know ND Medicaid does not pay for it. When I worked on OB we had all the parents sign along with the consents a waiver stating the understand they are liable for the charges (and it stated the amount) if the insurance company did not cover it.

  • It shouldn't be covered. No medical assosication recommends it.

  • Have it done by a mohel; it will be better than a doctor.
