did any one else know this?

If a statue in the park of a person on a horse has both front legs in the air, the person died in battle; if the horse has one front leg in the air, the person died as a result of wounds received in battle; if the horse has all four legs on the ground, the person died of natural causes.

  • Not true. I took an arts appreciation class and learned this is an urban myth. There is no historical documentation to support this as fact. Some artist like the legs up and others like them down. I like the urban myth better.

  • I'm not believing it. What if they died of unnatural causes that weren't related to battle? Like what if he was murdered long after the battles were over?
