Would you give up your Freedom of Speech to get Glenn Beck off the air? founded by Obama's "Green Jobs Czar" Van Jones, has launched a campaign to have Glenn Beck removed from the air. Mr. Jones a self-avowed Communist was also one of the founders of the radical communist group Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement, or STORM.

Colorofchange was outraged by Mr. Beck referring to Obama as a "racist" with a "deep seated hatred of white people." The statement which may be offensive to some is clearly protected by the 1st amendment.

Many links are available for Van Jones that affirm the above. Here are a few. If you want more/different please google.
Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement

So should we just do away with the First Amendment altogether? We wouldn't want to offend anyone....

  • The great thing about this country is if you don't like what's on TV, you can change the channel. Of course, it would be more helpful to some if it were Freedom of Speech that was changed instead.

  • Obama has sooo many special interest groups in the White House. His and his cronies liberal smear antics will backfire... Just give them time. To think that the government is afraid of ONE guy speaking free that they have to launch a campaign against him.. who cares what Beck said. It was his personal opinion. People don't 100% agree with Beck, but he IS a commentor and is paid to speak his mind. Why can't liberals be big men about it and move on... All the harsh words that were said about Bush (baby killer, Hitler, racist, etc)... DID Bush launch a campaign? Nope. Bush has class.... Now the Obama-ites??? No class.... They have to use thug style antics to attempt to bring him down.... How pathetic....

  • Freedom of Speech. Everyone gets their chance to speak. If you don't agree, then you can just change the channel or stop reading the paper. ;-) But nobody should be silenced.

  • I bet Beck is loving the attention. I wonder if color of change and that commi ex-convict bastard Van Jones knows they are only making Beck more popular!

  • Just think of the possible implications. If he can get kicked off tv for saying someone is a racist, how many people will get kicked off cafemom for saying the same??

Answer by yourspecialkid at 4:06 PM on Aug. 15, 2009

Ok, watch the entire clip. Listen, really listen to what he has to say. Understand that he comes to his conclusions through comparative thought or actual life experiences. If you don't like his opinion, don't listen to his radio broadcast or watch his show. If you are more of the Saul Alinsky social activist and you are targeting Glenn Beck, isolating, insulting, and shutting him down, then he must be saying something that is correct if you need him gone this badly. 1st Amendment Right to speak out against the government without fear of censureship, harassment, imprisonment, or physical harm. Leave him alone.
