  • Yep was going to say walmart as well we have a bissell that we paid $60 for like 3 years ago (they have similar ones now that are $45) but 3 years later it still works perfectly, is light weight my 4 year old can actually pick it up and move it around with no problem at all. The filters you buy for it can be washed or replaced and we replace ours every couple of months as soon as it gets dirty but they are fairly cheap ( like $5 for the 2 main filters) and the hepa filter thing is like $3 or you can get the fancy one with the febreeze stuff in it for like $5 so not bad at all.

  • Walmart and Target are the two best places, but just beware - you get what you pay for, which means that an inexpensive vacuum will not last as long as a professional styled vacuum.
We've had so many problems with our vacuums that we bought from Walmart and Target and they weren't the cheapest ones, either.

While I agree somewhat at the same time it also depends on how well you take care of them and how much they are used/banged up, etc etc..

  • If you are wanting really cheep just to get rid of the one you have, check craigslist. Sometimes people throw them out because they got a new one. You can get one that is used and then bring it home and clean it out. We found one that someone was getting rid of for free and we cleaned it up and it works just fine. I love it.
