im 2months pregnant and i cant eat red meat, even the smell makes me vomit what can i eat to replace iron?

  • Like many other nutrients, plant based iron is superior to animal based. Eating a vitamin C source with your iron source will increase your body's absorption of the iron.

  • Foods with a high iron content includ Bran flakes, Oatmeal, Samolina, Cream of wheat, Wheat germ, Whole wheat bread, Swiss chard, Turnip greens Prune juice, Spinach, Beet greens, Potato, Bok choy, Peas, Green beans, Tomato juice, Broccoli, Watermelon, dried beans and peas, tofu, soybeans, tempeh, soy milk, pumpkin seeds, dried figs, dried apricots, almonds, sunflower or sesame seeds, cashews. Some people say don't eat soy products while pregnant, but the other stuff should be okay.
