Does nipple stimulation really work?

If so how did you do it to get it to work?

  • Yes, do it as often as possible and if u have a pump use a pump.

  • Yes, but if it's not always effective on everyone. **It can be so intense that nurses I work with have moms only do it in their presence, IN labor, when things need a kick.
    It is an alternative to Pitocin (the synthetic version of what NS is producing).

    Not recommended unless labor is slow-going and should be supervised.
    There is a rec'd method to it. What does your doctor/midwife say?
