arts and Crafts for a 16 month old

I was wondering if anyone had any good ideas for arts and crafts that I can do with my daughter

  • color with crayons
    paint - they sell paint brushes with a big round top so they can hold it
    use hair gel put in ziplock and ducktape it closed and its a good texture to experiment with

    look at lots of good ideas of homemade projects to do!

  • edible playdough, water paint (if you have a deck you can use the big paintbrushes like for walls, use water and it will change the color of the wood as you "paint" it, but will just dry back to natural color), sidewalk chalk (they make those BIG pieces of chalk, little ones break the skinny pieces), shaving cream is fun on a highchair tray, with food coloring in it it's even more fun (again, a deck is nice here to play with the shave cream and then just spray off)
