  • Couldn't get your clip to work, but I saw that dealer who is owed $1 million in clunker cash. He said that 85% of his submitted claims had been denied. It is being blamed partly on his error filling out the paperwork but mostly it is the contractor hired by the government to process the rebate. They are making mistakes in the processing. The government wants to run my life and they can't even get something as small as this correct. The application for the rebate is 20 pages on the internet. Yeah, that's a government program for ya!

My son has had 4 different illneses and injuries requiring various treatments, surgery and hospitilizations in the last 3 years. My BCBS PPO HSA pays roughly 9 months after treatment. I'm surprised more docs do not go to the pay at the time of service plan, forcing the patient to collect reinbursment from the Insurance Co. Without reform, that will be next-

  • My dads dealership is having issues as well they are owed over 500k. They filled everything out correctly but the Gov is screwing things up. He won't do anymore clunker deals now. Said it is not worth it at all. Some have been angry but he just tells them until the government finds a way to pay them more quickly and fix the glitches he is not going out on a limb financially anymore.

We want the Gov running our healthcare when they cannot run something so simple? Not me.

  • ...Do you suspect that this cash for clunkers program is getting used to nudge MORE independent businesses out of business?

Independent businesses are the biggest obstacle to gov't take-over, after all. So, get them to put themselves on the hook for thousands, tens of thousands of dollars, and in the "confusion" and "unfortunate tangle of red tape" they can be run out of business without all the outcry that erupted when they ordered all those dealerships to be just shut down.

This way, it doesn't LOOK like tyranny, but those pesky independent businessmen are moved out of the way ...

Who is saying we don't want reform??  Many of us do NOT agree with the public option. Especially with no specifics on hust how to pay for it.
