A "deal" is made to confiscate the names...

of those who are hoarding their money in Swiss bank accounts.

Have you heard of this? Do you think that people should have the right to put away their hard earned money overseas?

  • If this is even remotely true, then our country just took one more step towards a communist/socialist state. I hang my head and weep!

  • That is really sad. The Swiss have sold out their country too.

I guess people will have to start hiding money the old fashioned way, in the mattress! LOL

  • I feel pretty upset by this. If taxes were fair, the rich wouldnt have to hide away their money to begin with...

  • Wait a minute, why is this bad? People are hiding income, living here, and not paying appropriately? They can still out their money wherever, they just have to report?

  • Don't know anything about it. When I read more concrete evidence of it, I will be able to proffer an opinion.

  • I heard this on the radio, and I say whatever! Why should people be able to illegally hide money? What does this have to do with socialism? People who are extremely rich taking huge amounts of money out of the country and hiding it, to get out of paying taxes or to hide a big chunk of money they made illegally? Oh, yeah, the poor tax-dodging, criminals! Why should they have to pay their taxes. It's downright un-American.

Who is actually defending this practice?
