  • Try making one of them "BOSS" for the day. Start with the oldest and make him responsible for getting everyone to do their chores, making lunch, keeping everyone on schedule. Next day, it is the 11 year olds turn to be "BOSS", and so on and so forth. Make it clear they are to obey and respect the "BOSS". If the "BOSS" isn't getting any help from his siblings it is still his responsibility to get everything done. What you are trying to teach the "BOSS" is how bad it is to not have any help. The "BOSS" is the only one that gets rewards or consequences.

Ask the boys what they feel is appropriate rewards for doing what is asked. Decide together what the rewards and consequences will be.
