Fried ham slices and fried mashed potatoes

How do you make fried jpotato cakes? and fried ham slices do you roll the potatoes in anything first and do or can i fry the ham in olive oil?

  • when i fry ham, i just stick it in the pan and go to town.. i dont have a clue on the fried pop cakes..

  • Fried potato cakes my way.. Left over mashed potatoes I add a little salt, pepper, a beaten egg and a little flour. The egg helps bind it, the flour keeps it from being too sticky. Form patties with yyour hands about the size of a small burger, not to thick. Fry in a skillet over medium heat until golden brown on both sides. Ham contains enough fat it doesn't need oil. Heat your skillet well and put the slice in and don't touch it. By not touching it a nice carmelized crust will form. If it is precooked it will take very llittle time to heat.
