Do you think his boss' will do anything now that even more advertisers have pulled $$?

Walmart, Best Buy, CVS, and GMAC are among eight major advertisers that have confirmed pulling their advertising from Fox News' "Glenn Beck" program in light of his comments that President Obama is a racist.

The advertisers did not pull their spots from Fox News, but rather requested that their ads do not air during Beck's 5PM program.

The advertisers in the latest round of pull-out from Beck's show and their statements to ColorOfChange.org:

  • Golly gee, this isn't a free speech issue. He's allowed to say whatever he wants. Nobody is jailing or killing him. Just as he has a right to say anything, the companies that support him have a right to pull their dollars away. Capitalism at its best - you talk with your money.

  • Too bad these companies don't have enough balls to support free speech.

It is totally within their rights to pull their ads from a disgusting show with a man spewing hate. and I am all for free speech, see how I am using it right now while you feel the need to hide your face?

  • Beck isn't costing Fox anything they said it themselves! Plus I bet you didn't make a big hiss fit over Kanye West saying GWB didn't like black people during Katrina.
So get over it move on!

  • "has a deep-seated hatred for white people, ... or the white culture? I don't know what it is ..."

Have to say that liberals show themselves to be racist over and over again. Let's be crystal clear: someone who views people as primarily a member of one race or another is racist. If some politician tailors his campaign so that he can appeal to Hispanics or to blacks or to whites, if he chooses to speak a certain way about certain issues so he can get votes from a certain racial segmant of the community, then that person IS BEING a racist. This racism is SO embedded in popular thought that it's invisible to most people.

If he/she were NOT a racist, then there would be no thought of targetting voters by appealing to race. The speeches would be aimed to deal with people's geographic region or family situation, etc.
You can be racist w/o discriminating AGAINST. But if you view us as folks of 1 or another RACE, it IS racist

  • Oh come on... spewing hate? Have you even watched the show in its entirety, not just some 30 second clip from your precious Keith Olberman or The Daily Show? Get real. You say that you're all for free speech, but it seems like you're only for free speech if it coincides with your opinion... that's convenient.
