  • It totally depends on the baby and your body. I have a friend that had a 34 weeker that was 7 1/2 pounds however my 37 weeker was only 5 1/2. I know two babies born at 28 weeks and one was 2 lbs 2 oz but the other was only 1 lb 11 oz. I would say average for 32 weeks would probably be somewhere around 3 1/2 pounds and that is just going by the "average" birth weight of a 40 weeker being 7 1/2 pounds and the fact that they gain about 1/2 a pound a week so subtracting back 1/2 pound times 8 weeks, that would be about 3 1/2 pounds

  • This is a good question for you OB. They regularly measure the baby's bones during ultrasounds this can help the doc give you a fairly accurate guess as to the baby's actual size. At 2lbs 14oz @ 27wks and we will find out a new weight this week.
