  • I have no idea but 2lbs can make between 15-20 meatballs. It depends on how big you make them.

  • Depends on what size your making. I always make small to medium sized and I believe you would need about 3 to 4 pounds for 40 people. If your doing the huge meatballs I'd say 7 to 8 pounds.

    Love meatballs :) Good luck!

  • 8lbs depending on if it is the only meat available. If u have other meat being served you can decrease it.

  • I just figure each person eats 1/4 pound meat for a meal.

  • Well, I just catered my sister's wedding and I made 10lbs of ground beef. It came out to about 180 meatballs. I also made about 75 Chicken parmesans. There were about 40/50 people and the meatballs were wiped out.

  • I used 10 lbs of meat for meat balls when I catered a wedding for 42 people (I made mini meatballs) and had more than 1/2 of them left over. To be fair, there was also a chicken dish and shrimp cocktail on the buffet PLUS a ton of other food.
