When do you give the couple their wedding gift

Ive never attended a wedding..not to sound stupid when do we give gifts..?

  • Well...according to Miss Manners and Emily Post, it's not good form to bring the gifts to the wedding, even though people set up tables for them. Ship them ahead of time. Every bridal registry includes a "ship to" address, and the store will do it all for you. It's far more secure than bringing the gifts to a reception hall, and a lot easier on the bridal party when they don't have to coordinate delivery of said gifts to the couple's home.

    Since you haven't attended a wedding, you should also know that gifts are never opened at the reception anyway.
