Universal Healthcare..

Access to health care via health insurance is a basic right much like the right to public education or public utilities. And I am troubled by those who would deny this basic right to people as well as many others who make more but find the burden increasingly onerous--or those who can no longer get insurance through an employer and must get their own hoping and praying that they can pass the underwriting.

Better hope you keep the jobs your have in this economy we all should be worried. Are you worried? Or are you living in a dream world thinking it won't happen to you.

  • Just for fun, huh? Okay - just for fun - how about we require every American to work - period. No more SAHM, you can WAH, but you gotta work. Health insurance companies have to cover you and can't charge more than 1/3 of 1 paycheck per month - can never drop you for anything other than non-pay. If you pay the premium - they gotta pay for whatever your doc says you need. Period. Every handicap person, disabled person, elderly person in the country (who cannot work) are the only people PERIOD that can or will get any kind of PA - and then the program is run by a panel of persons with disabilities. Child molester and murderers are put to death immediately after the verdict, drug dealers are shackled and forced to work doing shitty jobs for the duration of their sentence. Every child who maintains a passing average get a free pass to college - It's all make-believe - but you did put it in Just For Fun.

  • I agree with the Op. Yeah. It's a privilege as long as you have it right? We live in a heartless country. We are all Selfish Americans. Always needing to feel like we are better than the next man.
