If someone offered you a million dollars, no catch, how would you spend it?

I'd move out of state, I live in MD and I hate it here. Eventhough I was born and raised here. I hate the schools where I live, and most of the people in my neighborhood.

  • I'd buy a house but not here because a million doesn't get much here.

  • Buy a house, buy 2 new cars (one for me, one for hubby), pay off debt and place a small amount in the bank, the rest in an IRA. Oh and of course, I would buy lots of new things for my little boy

  • I'd pay off my house, and my husband's car, fix up both our cars to perfection, and put a few thousand in the bank for a "fix the car fund". I'd set aside $200,000 each in a trust for my kids. I'd fix what was wrong with my house, and buy some property for a farm, maybe. I'd give my sisters money to take some college courses, and I'd help my parents pay off their house, and give them some money to live. I'd put the rest in a trust for me and my husband's retirement. Maybe take a short vacation right away.

  • I'd help pay off the money my mom owes on her house so she can finally retire. Put money in a college fund for my son. Buy a new house. And, open my own dog grooming shop, which would also sell supplies.

  • My house is $75,000, the car is $6,000, and my total car repairs would be about $3,000 (with paint job). The total house repairs, with addition is about $30,000. I know how to bargain shop, and make my money grow. That's only $114,000. That leaves me with $999,886,000. $400,000 of that goes in a fund for my kids...=$999,486,000. It can go a long way if you get what you need.
