  • With my first, I lost all but 10 pounds of my baby weight when I was breastfeeding. then with my last two, the weight didn't come off so easy but I think that is because I am older and losing weight is alot harder now!

  • i was skinny from his birth until he was about 5 or 6 mos. breastfeeding made me so hungry and when he started eating more food and a couple bottles, the weight piled on. he's 13mos now and still nurses constantly, but i've gained 20-25 lbs. same thing w/my 11yo, except myt max weight was alot less- i think older does make it harder.

  • I'm not sure if it helped me lose weight faster, but it definitely helped my belly shrink faster.

  • Losing weight is not a good reason to breastfeed. Providing your child with 2 years of perfect nutrition, that adapts to her/his changing needs, is the right reason

  • i didnt ask "for good reason", I was simply curious if other moms lost weight when they breastfed their babies....
