elliptical question

i am starting to work out on my elliptical, and i was wondering, are you supposed to move your legs FORWARD, or BACKWARDS?
ive seen people at the gym go both ways....does it matter which way??

  • Forwards does one kind of workout t=back wards another to different muscles. I am to scared to go backwards afraid I will fall on my ass. lol
