  • It's not just New Yorkers who diss NJ. It's everyone who isn't from Jersey.

  • I lived in New jersey for 9 years and hated it. Everyone makes fun of Jersey. It's not called the crotch of America for nothing. LOL.

  • I'm originally from NJ, haven't lived there for a few years and would give anything to go back...so let's not go dissing a place you lived for a short time, and yes, 9yrs is a short time, and realize maybe you didn't enjoy the area and should've expanded your horizons to a diff. region of Jersey. Honestly, the NY vs. NJ thing most likely stems from the fact that NYC and North Eastern NJ are relatively the same as in attitude/personality and well...italians or irish...both very strong willed and headstrong cultures that a lot of times clash.

Or....it could be the fact that Jersey's still pissed that the Statue of Liberty is in Jersey waters and NY won't give it up. LOL

But honestly, when someone from NJ and NY meet up out of state, they bond for being from the same area...and can agree that their present location sucks in comparison. It's only when they're in their homestate do they clash.
