is it okay to give this to my daughter at her age

I was wondering when it was okay to give my daughter fish sticks or any other kind of sea food? she's only 16 months old.

  • Just make sure you know what kind of fish is in it, and that it's not one of the varieties that is high in mercury. Most fish sticks are made from haddock, pollock and cod which are mid to low mercury and safe for kids to eat a few times a month.

Here is a link to relative mercury levels in fish and how often it is safe to eat. This one is specifically for pregnant women, but still ranks the fish according to if they are safe to eat often, rarely or never and the guidelines apply for kids.
