baby dropped!!

is it normal to have your baby drop in the womb and then less than 12 hours later have your baby back up in your ribs? if so how often can this happen? i am 31 weeks, and concerned, because if this can keep going on, how am i going to know when she is set and ready to come out and dropped?

  • oh yeah.. baby's playing with you.. you'll know when its time by different things.. baby dropping really has nothing to do with when your gonna go into labor. Right now he/she is just exercising and building up muscles :)

  • Maybe baby didn't "technically" drop, but was low & heavy and now has changed positions.

  • It doesn't really matter if baby drops or not. Some babies don't ever noticably drop - they stay up high until labor. Some, like my son, drop weeks before birth. Dropping is not really a sign of impending labor. Babies change position all the time. That's totally normal and nothing to be concerned about.
