Do you eat breakfast calmly?

Its like I cant eat a peacefull breakfast, the kids needs come before mine and before I know it, they are done and I haven't eaten anything. Sometimes I eat standing up, anyone else? (my kiddos are 3, 1, and 2mo)

  • I get up at least an hour before anyone else. I brew my espresso and have breakfast in peace.

  • My son is 14 months. and we eat pretty leisurely.
I usually give him some cereal and a sippy of milk.
We sometimes watch TV or he entertains himself with eating, and I check my email.

I'm a very slow eater - kind of absent minded too. My son is similar, but he's a little more focused than I tend to be. :D

  • Yes. My daughter will be 2 in October.

What I do is, set her up in her booster seat while I feed my 3week old.
Then, they're both done, and I put him in his vib. chair and her in front of
the tv so I can grab something quickly. Usually eat standing up too.

It should pass though as Louise said. ;)

  • Mine are school age and I don't eat until they are gone to school, so yes it is calm. As the others have said this too will pass.

  • My sons are teens now, but when they were young they used to eat a bite and walk around and come back for the next bite and so on. They just wouldn't sit still. It was so aggravating. When we eat now it's definitely much more peaceful.
