Before or after?

I was reading something funny tonight, and this line was part of it -- I find it hard to believe there are actually people who get in the

shower first and THEN turn on the water.

Er, I get in the shower first, then cut on the water. Always have.

What do you do? Is it really that weird?

  • my waterheater is close to my bathroom, so i dont have to let it heat up, but i always turn it on first so i dont get scalding hot or freezing cold water.. it takes a minute to recover from that!

  • I always turn it on first. Whoever gets in first must have instant hot water or something. It takes a couple of minutes for the hot water to get to my shower.

  • My husband is the first person I've known to turn the water on before he gets in the shower. I suppose I was taught to get in first in order to conserve water and energy. Even though I grew up right by one of the Great Lakes, municipal water bills were and are expensive. We don't have a separate water bill where we live now but I still hate to waste resources.
