  • Well, if you're confused about what his intentions are, then you certainly are not alone. His statements have changed repeatedly from the time he first began his campaign until, well, today. There hasn't been a lot of consistency in what he says he'll do and what he does. Here's part of the problem, I think. He ran on a platform of Moderation - but he's governing strictly from the left - and that's created a lot of problems for him. Many Americans want a moderate government (bipartisan if you will) - we want to have a balance of the majority views- and I think people hoped that he would deliver. What people failed to see - and what he very eloquently covered up with his distinct ability to speak moderately while calling for politeness, was his extreme left past, his questionable substance and his lack of experience. Once again he's trying to rally the hopes of Americans to get his way - but it isn't working. Cont'd

  • He is trying to bring our ranking up. Right now we are ranked 37th in health care in countries around the world which is screwed up!!! If you really want to learn about it I suggest that you take some time and watch Fox news and the watch CNN or MSNBC and then make up your own mind about what they say!!! GOOD LUCK

  • He has taken some very good ideas and weighed them down with control and invasive language, thereby closing his ability to call his cross-over Republicans to his side. He's taken some very sound ideas (in theory) and bogged them down with vague threats of taxation and much less vague threats to American businesses. He's trying to find a program that will work for America but what he's come up with is not uniquely American and is being rejected primarily on the "language of threat". On the one hand he wants to offer health care for everyone who cannot afford it or falls through the cracks of our systems in place - and that is a very good thing, yet at the same time, the language of the bill promises not care but fines and involuntary adoption onto this 'public option' if the health care, of those paying for their own, doesn't meet the commissioners standards. He's created an unacceptable compromise and doesn't want negotiations

  • He's trying to force government controlled health-care on us. The government has not business being involved in doctor-patient relationships. They have no business dictating to doctors and hospitals what level or amount of care will be allowed. It's imperative that we stay on top of contacting our representatives demanding they do not vote in favor of this.
