When should a mother call Early Intervention?

15 month old boys is developing normally but the only concern is his language (he says only "dada" in every occasion he is pointing at something). Should Early Intervention Services be called?

  • I would, just to be on the safe side. If they do an evaluation and say he's developing typically, then at least you know.

  • well, my son barely said more than 1/2 words til he was 19 months old, then he just went crazy verbally - at 21 months now he's saying 4 and 5 word sentances.. .is your pediatrician concerned at all?
