  • I wouldn't worry about it. I have 3 boys and each developed at very different paces. My first rolled over at 3mo. my second not until about 6mo. and my 3rd was 4mo. Each showed interest in toys at different ages as well. For my boys the average age of showing interest in toys was about 5mo or so. Hope this helps a little!

  • Not necessarily. Every baby is different. My firstborn had no interest in grabbing toys - I thought baby toys were a HUGE waste of money. Lol! My 3rd rolled over once or twice early on and then nothing. She just started rolling over like crazy right before she crawled around 9 months!

  • Here is a great website on child development, up to age 5:

You may also want to pick up a book on development at your local library; I recommend anything by T. Berry Brazelton or Penelope Leach.

  • I have twins and there is no better example of how differently they develop! She had better grabbing skills while he was rolling over at around 5 months. She did it around 6. He is Army crawling everywhere and she prefers the roll method. If you are worried you could talk to her doctor. But, I definitely wouldn't worry at 4 months
