Question for the Lutherans

If they decide to accept gay clergy, will you be staying with your church or seeking out a new denomination? Do you think it will impact your congregation?

I'm curious because my friend's church literally split in half over the issue (different denom).

  • We would probably stay. But then again, my husband and I are this generation. And we actually have many gay and bi friends from college and back home. Can't say I would expect to see too many gay clergy though.

  • It's not necessarily a gay thing, but it seems like all the denominations are facing "splits" over the last decade. I've seen so many Baptist, Methodist, Church of God splits around here that it really is a sad, scary thing. And, usually the split is over something relating to the Pastor or Clergy...
    Wonder why that is???
Not being sarcastic here...seriously..I do wonder why it's that way...
