What do you take on picnics?

We have a arranged for a biweekly family get together and this week it is our turn to plan and pay for it. So we were thinking getting the kids together to play at the park and a picnic lunch this weekend. So, what kid and adult friendly foods do you take on picnics. We are planning going at 10 and letting the kids play and then eating around 12, so we will need to take an ice chest or pack things that will hold. Thanks ladies

  • Sub sandwiches, chips, pickles, cookies. Nice and easy. You can make a pasta salad and use Italian dressing. A fruit salad too.
