WHAT DO I DO WITH 20 WATERMELONS? My daughter planted ONE WATERMELON SEED, and now we have 20 watermelons! What do we do with all of them?

I didn't realize how big the vine/patch would get, she is excited about it and we don't mind that it is growing big, it's just that we don't know what to do with 20 watermelons, even giving some to family and keeping some, we would still have like 15 left over. I've thought of selling them, but for how much? btw there are still hundreds of blossoms and not sure if we will get anymore. ANY IDEAS?

  • I would donate them to a senior nutrition program. Older people love to eat watermelon (as do younger), it helps keeps them regular and hydrated. I would have my daughter help present them to the program and take pictures. It will instill being charitable in her. It will also boost her self esteem.

    Good luck!

  • I would take them down to the local homeless shelter and give them away. I'd even make a lesson out of it for my kids too.

  • I like the idea of donating them to the shelter... You can also cut them up and freeze them as well.
