  • I went to the OB at Woodland Women's Health Associates. My GYN was Dr. Colliton who I liked, but she stopped doing OB just before I had my first. I didn't like their OB so I switched to a CNM practice Woodland Midwifery, which is in Hartford & Avon. I really liked the midwives there, they were awesome and St. Francis is a great place to deliver. They delivered both of my kids, even tho I needed an emergency c-section with my first and my second was high risk. Dr. Mark Wolf is their backup OB and he's great if you really want an OB. But I'd try the midwife practice - it's very much the same but you get much more care and attention, plus a MW stays with you during the whole labor. You can still get an epi and meds and even be high risk. HTH!
