Do babies usually sit up before they begin crawling?

  • Usually I think so but mine crawled a few weeks before he sat up straight.

  • i think it depends on the child my daughter never actully did sit up she went straight to crawling to walking, she was walking by 10 months old.

  • depends on the child really
    my son sat up by himself and never crawled he went from sitting to walking at 7 months.
    He was running by 10 months I remember because it was his first halloween and we dod the trunk or treat at church and he ran everywhere

  • depends on the child, some never crawl--they just go from scooting to walking. To be honest, I have no clue if my boys sat or crawled first.

  • yeah.. but if baby spends most of its time on its belly then it might learn to crawl first. Depends on the child and what they like.. don't like.. etc.
