  • Anon 1:08- take caution! You sound like my sister 3 years ago when my BIL hit his 2 year anniversary as a supervisor at Wal-mart making $23.00 an hour. He was recently laid off like no tomorrow and treated like he could easily be replaced if he didn"t make himself conactable whenever they so choose to call him back if they so choose to.

I don't know about Wal-mart. I say its too close for comfort in the Monopoly department. I avoid the store if I can. I will go to Krogers for groceries, because I always save more. Everything else I try to get at smaller mom and pop stores or other stores.

  • HOw? Exploitation of workers. Employees have NO benefits and moreover they don't have Workers Union.

  • Frankly, I don't think the prices at Walmart are that great.

They keep most of their employees part time so they don't have to give them benefits too.

  • Made In China. When they choose new products to carry, they badger the companies to move their production to China to cut the overhead as much as possible. Companies that fight them on it are less likely to find their products in the store.

  • It will be almost impossible to open a Walmart in NYC. Why? Because Unions won't permitted it will violate worker's rights.

  • WalMarts in this area have nothing close to a good price on anything. Not to mention they are constantly violating labor laws.

  • Because all of their stuff is cheap and poisonous, and made in sweatshops. They also keep the sweatshop theme going with their own employees.
