getting so mad at dd's school i cant find anything out!!

i have been trying to find out when my dd starts school...could be aug 26th or aug 31st..but i dont know i look at the schools website..nothing. looked at the towns events calander..nothing..looked up community..nothing.. there is nothing about her schools first day or a supplie list, also called her school and get the machine "if your repoerting your child absent press 1, to speak to a teacher press 2. i went to her school nothing is posted. im getting so hoppimg mad..i cant find anything, even looked up the town libary...nothing..i dont know what else to do!! can i sue for distress?? im loseing it..for the love of god just want to know 2 things..first day of middle school and what we need to buy..

  • Sue for distress...I hope that is a joke! can you call the district, ask a neighbor? leave a msg on the machine at the school?

  • Our son started middle school (7th grade) and he didn't get a supply list, he had to wait until his orientation. And check with the District office, they should be able to tell you when it starts.

  • yes it was a joke *can i sue* im not a sueing kinda person..there are no kids on my street just mine so neighbors wont know ( there all farmers now if i asked about chickens, pigs..great ) and so far no word on orientaions....

  • Go to the school and find a person in the office and ask. Orientation usually takes place a few days before school starts. Middle schools don't give supply lists until you hit the first day of class. The teaches will inform the students what they will need. Just be prepared to do your shopping the first night of school. I would buy paper, pencils pens and a few folders ahead of time. You can go onto most school district websites and find the info you are looking for. Good luck.
