how many cm's was your babys head at birth??

and did you tear or need an episiotomy. my son was 36 1/2 cms. and i needed an episiotomy

  • IDk but I tore just a little.
    My dr said if he would had cut I owuld had needed more stiches.
    So I tore only a little

  • a 36cm head? are you serious? my lo's head was 14 cm & my ds's was 14.5 cm

  • OP here, you might have been measured in inches then because in inches its 14.4 for his head

  • uhm a 14 cm head would mean that there is something wrong with your baby. The average head size is 35 cm so 36 cm is not extremely large at all. My son had an 38cm head and he was born posterior with the face turned, that is what caused the tear for me.

  • My daughters head was 14in as well. I tore the doctor didn't have time to actually cut me.
