Should gays be allowed to adopt?

For people who say 'no' because kids need a mom and a dad, should single mothers and fathers have their children taken from them?

  • if they have the means to taKe care of them y not? if they are not goin to abuse them and has a stable home y not? Kids do not need a mommy and a daddy. they need love and understanding. being with gay parent gives them more of an open mind when it comes to people

  • i don't judge how other people live...if someone is allowed to adopt a child regardless if they are a male and female, female and female, male and male, or single parent...its not my place to decide...adoption process is VERY VERY lengthy and tedious...they don't just drop these kids off at the doorstep of anyone...they evaluate the couple or single soon to be parent and make sure they are capable...if the adoption agency finds a couple to be capable of raising a child who am i to nay say that??

  • i think that there are so many kids without homes that need to be adopted, that being adopted by a loving gay family is better then having no family at all. so they should be. but i do think that kids need a mother and a father, they need love and attention from a male and female, or else they wont be complete - they will be searching for that love that they didnt get, its different as a single mom or dad because in that situation they at least have a CHANCE of having a mom and a dad, their mom or dad may remarry, or they might have visitation on weekends with the other parent, but when you are adopted by a gay couple, their is no chance of that.

  • Yes. There are so many kids languishing in "the system", that anyone who can go through the process and prove that they can give provide stable, loving homes should be allowed to adopt.

  • You shouldn't be asking these CONTROVERSIAL QUESTIONS, especially when the same one's are asked everyday, just look back at past questions of the same question and read their remarks.
