Thanks very much for getting back to me ,I will like to tell you that
the payment would be sent by UPS courier company and the item will be
picked up as soon as you receive my payment,I will wait for the
payment to get cashed before i'd send my shipper for the pick up.I
will like to tell you that i would be sending a check worth of $3500
covering the shipment of the item. and the money for the item should
be $100 As soon as certified check reaches you, have it cashed and
remove your money for the item and send the remaining fund to my
shipper by western union money transfer. My shipper is also picking
some of my other items up for me in the same city of yours, so that is
why i need to give him that amount.I will like you to remove $100 for

  • Anything that talks about his shipper or currier is a scam. It usually starts with and email that reads "Is this item still available?" and when you get back to them, they send that same email almost word for word. It happens every time I sell anything fairly expensive, like furniture.

  • Nope, the check is bad and you end up sending money that isn't there. Never, ever cash someone's check and then send them money, it doesn't make any sense. If they have money to send you, they can get their own money out of their account.

When I sell on craigslist, I only buy and sell locally and I only do cash or a bank check if that's a car loan involved.

  • DON'T DO THIS!! This is a scam. You'll deposit his money and it'll bounce.

  • Here you go. This was a response this weekend when I was selling some furniture:

    Email #1:
    Is your item still available?

Answer by JulieJacobKyle at 5:41 PM on Aug. 24, 2009

  • Email #2:
Thanks for the swift email and response to my inquiry as regards
the item you posted for sale on Craigslist,I will like you to know
that,I'm really interested in purchasing the item and I'm glad to hear
that the item is still available for sale,I'm Okay with the price and
the present condition of the item and would love to make an outright
purchase,i would have love to come and make the purchase in person but
I'm a very busy individual with work and other important obligations,I
anticipate that I'll have a certified bank check issued out to you for
the payment of the item by my bank. The payment would be in an
overdraft that will include the shipping charges of the shipper that
would be picking up the item plus insurance. After the payment has been
delivered to you via FedEx and confirmed,I will then
instruct my prepaid shipper to come and pick-up the item from your
    location,so I will like you

  • I had this exact same thing happen to me. It is not real and I ended up chatting with him trying to get him to diclose himself, but it did not work. Be careful!!! I have sold many things on craigslist and most legit, but some are there just to steal from you. Never buy/sell anything when you are meeting them, by your self. Good luck
