Why aren't my breasts leaking yet?

I'm 34 weeks pregnant, and I'm still not leaking from my breasts. I've been told by seven months that you should be leaking. I'm told by others that it happens randomly. Could it be that I'm not drinking enough water?

  • Not everyone breasts leak. Ive never had leakage and I always had a very good milk supply. Its just one of those things that happens or maybe doesnt.

  • you might start at 38wks you might not start till the milk comes in and IMO you dont want it to start early it's annoying i've been leaking since 16wks and it drives me nuts so be happy you dont!

  • I never leaked at all even when I was breastfeeding. My milk didn't come in until 2 days after I had my son.

  • I didn't leak till after my babies where born. Don't worry about it, be thankful that you aren't because once you start you will have to wear breast pads all the time. I remember with my firstborn I had to wear breast pads all the time and I leaked so much after she was born.
