Do you think Van Jones has a lot of influence in the White House?

I do!
Hoopties for Hybrids better known as Cash for Clunkers.

If his idea for this was SO easily taken by Obama, what else is he going to suggest that we won't have a say in?

  • And it sounds like he has a inside scoop on what is going to happen to our energy bills in the winter.

  • Let's see ... Cash for clunkers was HIS idea ... he is a founding member of the Apollo Alliance, which he described as a Grand Unified Filed Theory for progressive causes. The Apollo website advocates for organized, massive mobilization similar to what put a man on the moon ... "Energy Freedom must be Bold and Fast". It is funded by the Tides Foundation / Center.

In 2008, Apollo wrote up vast proposals which it called the Apollo Economic Recovery Act - this became the stimulus bill passed a couple of months later. Harry Reid acknowledged and thanked them for their "help" in writing the bill. (I WONDERED how Congress came up with that much spending so quickly)

Apollo partners Social Justice Groups (ACORN, Black Farmers USA, Ella Baker Center, Urban Agenda) with Green Movement (Sierra Club, GreenPeace, League of Consrvtn Voters) and Labor (SEIU, AFL (cont'd)

  • (cont'd) ... and Labor (SEIU, AFL-CIO, UAW, United Steel Workers) ...

Again the link for this story is

And the Apollo Alliance contacted Glenn Beck the evening after he presented this story, and made a correction - he had left out the fact that they also have a corporate arm, including corporations such as G.E. ... I can't rmember the other ones Glenn mentioned the following day.

... AND Van Jones is the Green Jobs Czar. Since green jobs and green movement is what this Apollo Alliance is making the most noise about, then I'd say, Yeah, he has a lot of influence in the White House ... he has a LOT of power and/ or is closely working with MANY powerful groups.
