  • Stage 2 foods my daughter was 7 months old, and stage 2 foods are a little thicker and are combination like chicken and rice. Juice around 9 months add a little water or a couple pieces of ice to their bottle or sippy cup. Finger foods, wait till they have a couple of teeth, my daughter didn't get any teeth till she was 10 months.

  • I gave my son stage 2 foods around 5 months - his favorite was apples and blueberries - stage 2 foods are the same consistency as stage 1 but are bigger jars and not always single ingredients like the stage 1's, i gave him juice for the first time around 8 months (white grape mixed 50/50 with water) but only on occasion, he started eating teething cookies around 6 months and cheerios around 6 1/2.

  • you don't need to wait on teeth for finger foods - the teeth we use for chewing are the back molars which won't be in for a very long time. Babies can "gum" cheerios or other small bit of finger food long before they get their first tooth - my son has been on mostly finger foods since 7 months and he didn't get a tooth until about 2 weeks ago (9 months)

  • We started stage 2 foods at 4-5 months. The only difference between it and stage 1 is the size of the jar, so a bigger helping. I started with 1/2 jar at a time and at 6 months they were eating TWO stage 2 jars per meal! (piggies)

Juice we started at 6 months when they started drinking from a sippy cup. I mixed it 1/2 with water and we usually used Juicy Juice.

We started offering table and finger foods at 6 months. By 9 months they were completely on table foods. Teeth don't matter since we don't chew with our front teeth anyway! If you can mash it between your tongue and the roof of your mouth they can DEFINITELY eat it.

  • 1. You gave them stage 2 foods & what is a stage 2 food? when JB was 4m we started baby foods and he didnt like it so we table fed from 4m till now..
    2. You gave them juice & what kind of juice? i waited till six months for juice.. i started with gatorade..
    3. They started eating finger foods like cheerios, teething cookies, etc.? 6m on all this two.. those teething cookies always got stuck in his throat and crap, he would always bite them off in big chunks..

i started whole milk at 4m also.. and we are still livin healthy and always ask your doc before taking advice (JB did better on whole milk and formula than just plain formula and water)

  • 1. You gave them stage 2 foods & what is a stage 2 food?
my 1st started stage 2 at 9 months, my second 11 months and my 3rd skipped baby food all together. Most stage two stuff is just a bigger jar, but things are mixed like apples & bananas, or mixed veggies, in stage 1 things have to be introduced separately to find out if there are any allergies.
    2. You gave them juice & what kind of juice?
Juice wasn't introduced until 10-11 months with the first 2 and my third not until after 13 months.
    3. They started eating finger foods like cheerios, teething cookies, etc.?
1st, was 7-8 months and we started with the gerber puffs. 2nd was like 9 months and 3rd went straight to finger foods at 11 months.

My 3rd was EBF until 10 1/2 months. He hated cereal, and baby food, so i wasn't about to force it, I forced it with my 1st cause everyone told me i NEEDED to have her on food at 4m, BUT they really don't according to AAP.

  • My son started the stage one when he was 3 months so by 5 months we were on stage two. I just started with something he had already had on stage one like green beans or banana's.

I waited to start him on juice at about 6 months but watered it down half and half. At first used the Juicey Juice brand but now giving him Gerber juice. I am on wic so I get it for free but any none citric juice is fine.

Started cherrios, cookies ect. at 7 months. He was eating the puff cereal at 5 1/2 months

  • Stage 2 foods- when he had finished the stage one's. But I also made most of his foods... used jarred only when we were out and about.

Juice- around 8 months. He still amost never gets any juice... maybe once/month

Finger foods- started with biter biscuts which are just messy, so he only had 2 ever. Then did puffs. At around 7 months. Started him on regular table foods at 8 months

  • stage 2 foods are usually a mix of multiple foods..and come in a bigger jar... I never did jarred food... I just pureed fruits in the beginning and then pureed/ chopped whatever we were eating... closer to a year as far as age

2)I gave juice also after a year... any juice that I had already give the fruit of ( for allergy reasons)

    3) I started with puffs... again around a year and then moved on to cheerios.. I personally think the biscuits are gross and unnecessary.... I started late with food though Im sure you could start alot sooner- I just felt BM was more nutritious for the first year and only experimented with "real food " until that point- to see why I delayed solids check out
