What kind of chores should a 13 year old girl have?

Also should allowance be given and how much?
Do they have any other privileges such as cell phone, computer etc...

  • Your children, boy or girl should be learning how to clean(the whole house) and cook all types of food. I do not think kids should get allowances for things they need to learn how to do to get ready for adulthood. Kids getting a cell phone or there own computer, tv in there room, NO. It is not necessary.

  • when my dd is 13 i'll ask her to help with laundry and to keep her mess picked up
    allowance, idk we'll see (i have 10 more years before she's 13)
she will not have her own cell phone b/c she will not be going out with her friends alone at that age, computer, she'll have access to it but not her own

  • when i was 13 i had dishes, vacuuming, dusting, cooking sometimes, picking up my mess, laundry, looking after my sisters, etc.. ofcourse my mom was depressed all the time and left everything up to me to handle. i guess it depends on what she knows how to do and stuff. or what you feel like she can handle.

  • Chores, I've been doing them since I was a kid, started young.
One's for a 13 year old: Laundry, her's and towels/cloths, Vacume, Dust, Her Room, Help Cooking is a great one.
As long as they did chores they'd have privilages, they work hard then they deserve them.
Allowence that's up to you but she should do it with money or no money.

  • She is my little sister and the only child in the house besides my 2 year old... I live with my mom... I'm moving soon. But I don't work and SO does... So while I'm home I clean the downstairs wash dishes cook dinner buy the food. my mom doesn't help with any of the motherly things she works. But while I'm home I try to have my lil sis do things before she trys to leave. Ususally wash dishes or put dishes away maybe up to 3 times a week. If she doesn't do it I do... Everytime I ask her to do it she screams and crys. Half the time she doesn't even do it. I ask her bc my mom doesn't make her do anything. Bc my sister usually tells my mom no or she isn't home.

My lil sister does have a cell phone...

Just a minute ago she tried to hit me with a frying pan bc I asked her to put the dishes away. She put them away...
