What's a good snack when you're pregnant?

Honestly, all I want to eat are bowls of cereal and granola bars.

I make myself eat other things and produce and fruit, but I really just want chocolate chip granola bars all day.

  • P.s. - (stuff ive been eating)
    ritz crackers w/cheese,
    fruit smoothies -fresh **add** some granola =)
    baby carrots/broccoli w/dressing
    Activia Yogart -get the kind w/Fiber (it has granola in it)
    apple sauce
    cellerie w/dressing OR peanut butter
    -eat garden salads, simple & easy
    u can freeze grapes too
    for summer stuff- cantalope, watermelon, peaches, plumps are good
    chicken nuggets, not the most healthy but taste good every once in a while
    popscycle sticks
    uhmmm yea, i think thats all - stuff ive been living off of w/my summer pregnancy
    (all that & a ton of sanwiches)

    uhmmm.. that's about all i can think of for snacks

  • I was all about the natures valley honey and oat granola bars! I also enjoyed hummus w/ veggies or crackers

  • I love animal crackers. I buy the individual bagged ones and eat them at work. I also, love grapes. They make great snacks if you freeze them too.

  • "ur body craves what it needs" -as soo soo many people keep telling me

    if it helps, try making a fresh Fruit smoothie (so u get ur fruit for the day) but put some like nature valley granola bar in it -healthy & tastey


    best advise** you can keep eating the food you crave - just dress it up w/healthy snacks =)

    ((i have the same problem- only ive been craving the Nutri-grain cereal bars))

  • Carrots and ranch dressing, apples and peanut butter, strawberries and whipped cream. Everything you put in your body should benefit your child one way or another. That's the way I looked at things, when I was preggo. Don't get me wrong I did treat myself from time to time.

  • funny you mention that, i've been craving all day long honey nut cheerios. i sware to you i could eat it from breakfast, lunch, and dinner. i've looked up a few smoothie recipes, to alter my breakfast w/ some fruit into ito it, and that way not all im eating is honey nut cheerios.

  • My favorite is a yogurt smoothie. I make it out of plain yogurt, skim milk, frozen berries, and a pinch of honey. Sometimes I add a banana as well. It tastes great, fills me up, and is a good source of calcium.
