  • let your daughter go around the house and figure out what starts with an A. It is supposed to be a learning experience. Doesnt help her if u just give her the cutest idea. I know it sounds bashing, i used to do this...but it really does help if you go areoundthe house pick up stuff and see what letter it starts with...she will find something!

  • Aardvark, antelope, astronaut, asparagus, Africa, Australia, Austria, ant. I am a preschool teacher and can come up with all kinds of fun words.

  • I agree let her go around and find something that starts with that letter. It's a learning project for her, not to see who can bring the cutest thing in.

  • Why don't you make a game out of it for her? Something like - let's see how many things we can find in the house that start with "A" and put it on the table - mark, set. go!

Then, once she's found a bunch of stuff, then if you want, you can sort of guide her (but still let her pick - don't do it for her) towards taking in something from the pile she made that's cute or fun or different.
