  • I was told I could have no more than 200-300mg of caffeine a day while pregnant but to try to limit it a little more in the 1st trimester. I was originally told not to drink sugar-free soda because it contains artificial sweeteners...but then I was diagnosed with GD (gestational diabetes) & all of a sudden sugar-free sodas are fine, so I'm not sure about that one...I've heard both. I'd say ask your OB to make sure & to find out what he/she thinks is right for you personally.

  • I do not know about stuff with sugar substitute in it. But I drank a cup or two of coffee every day while I was pregnant. My 25 year old and 30 year old are just fine.

If you scroll down it will tell you that you can drink caffeine moderately (150 mg-300 mg) daily. I'm 19 weeks and drink 1 cup per day in the morning, I did the same with my previous 2 healthy pregnancies. I have heard that the aspartame in artificial sweeteners is not good for you at all let alone during pregnancy but not sure how much you can have.
